高原（英语：plateau、table land），指地势高而平坦的地形，高度比台地更高。形成年代较短的高原一般比较平坦，而年代较长的则因长期受风化侵蚀，比较低矮，而看起来和山地一样。美国东部的阿巴拉契亚山脉的西端实际就是这种像山的高原。
高原是指海拔高度在1000米以上，面積廣大，地形開闊，周邊以明顯的陡坡為界，比較完整的大面積隆起地區。
世界上的高原
世界最高的高原是中国的青藏高原，面积最大的高原为南極洲南极高原。
