Howard Bilerman (born September 25, 1970) is a Canadian recording engineer, producer, and Grammy nominated musician.
Career
He is a former member of the band Arcade Fire, who recorded and drummed on their debut album, Funeral,[1] as well as on songs by Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band, Vic Chesnutt, Basia Bulat, Sons of an Illustrious Father, Lilah Larson, Peter Peter, Rich Aucoin and Angela Desveaux.
He runs the hotel2tango recording studio in Montreal along with Efrim Menuck and Thierry Amar of Godspeed You! Black Emperor and A Silver Mt. Zion, and Radwan Moumneh.[2] Previously he ran a studio in Old Montreal called Mom & Pop Sounds. Bilerman has been a frequent faculty member at the Banff Centre in Alberta. He is currently living in Montreal.

As a recording engineer or producer, Bilerman has a credit on over 400 records, including those by Leonard Cohen, Handsome Furs, Wolf Parade, Coeur de Pirate, Lou Doillon, Perfect Pussy, British Sea Power, Tricky Woo, Thee Silver Mt. Bilerman was one of the engineers on Leonard Cohen's Grammy award winning song "You Want It Darker".
