高適[1]（706年－765年2月17日），字达夫，沧州渤海人（今河北景县）[2]。唐朝邊塞诗人，詩詞語言質樸，風格雄渾，與岑參並稱“高岑”。
生平
高適出生穷困，甚至曾经以乞讨为生。天寶八年，得到封丘縣尉的官職。后来到西塞。高适一直到五十岁时才开始他的文学创作，他的作品描写了西塞的生活：战场上的景象、士兵的生活和当地百姓少妇的情怀。《燕歌行》是高适的著名诗作。
天寶十二載，節度判官田丘推薦高適入河西節度使哥舒翰幕府，安史之亂後任左拾遺轉監察御史。永王李璘起兵，肅宗以高適為揚州大都督府長史。廣德元年，任淮南节度使，代崔光远為西川节度使。
广德元年（763年）吐蕃攻取陇右，十月，进而攻占分州、武功，高适率兵出南鄙，牵制其力，不成功。廣德二年，吐蕃反兵陷松（今四川松潘）、維（今四川理县）、保（今四川理县新保关）三州及云山新筑二城[3]，杜甫曾劝高适：“请公问主将（哥舒翰），焉用穷荒为？”[4]。高適被召還京，任刑部侍郎、左散骑常侍。一直封到渤海县侯。唐代宗永泰元年正月乙卯（765年2月17日），去世，追赠礼部尚书。

出身渤海高氏。

- 祖父：高偘，唐高宗时名将，官左监门卫大将军、平原郡开国公，赠左武卫大将军，谥号“威”，陪葬乾陵。
- 父亲：高崇文（653年—719年）据《全唐文补遗》《唐故韶州长史高府君玄堂记》:君讳崇文，字崇文，渤海蓨人也。春秋六十七，以开元七年五月十一日终于广陵私第。以开元八年岁次庚申六月壬午朔廿五日景午，迁窆于河南府洛阳县平阴里积润村北原，礼也。夫人渤海吴氏合葬茔；韶州长史。
