姚一葦

姚一葦（1922年－1997年），本名姚公偉，生於江西鄱陽縣，祖籍江西南昌，台灣著名劇作家、評論家、翻譯家與美學評論家。
生平
其家族為書香世家，祖父為清朝進士，父親為一名教師，因家學淵源，自幼遍讀《左傳》、《春秋》等經典。
1938年，入吉安中學，因中日戰爭，隨學校遷到廈門。1941年，入廈門大學機電工程系，後轉銀行系，姚一葦在校時就對戲劇有興趣，畢業前一年(1945年)發表了第一篇戲劇評論《論總建築師》，評論易卜生的劇作。1946年畢業。
不久後隨中國國民黨主政的國民政府來台，在臺灣銀行任職達30年，兼任文化大學藝術研究所教授。
1951年，在白色恐怖下，入獄七個月後獲釋。1953年，因翻譯《湯姆歷險記》，王夢鷗為其取筆名為姚一葦。[來源請求]根據王夢歐教授於政治大學授課時的學生尉天驄先生在其著作《回首我們的時代》(印刻文學出版)，第 127 頁中述及 : 姚一葦先生夫婦為王夢歐教授任教於廈門大學的學生，因一九五一年左右，姚先生因被牽連到白色恐怖案件中，出獄後非常消沉，當時因地緣關係，王、姚二人都住在當時的台北縣中和市，王先生除經常邀請姚先生喝酒談天，並鼓勵其專注於寫作。後來台灣文壇談起批評理論，經常王、姚並稱，姚一葦之筆名，便是由這一段姻緣發展出來的。
1962年和余光中、何欣負責《現代文學》編務工作，主持該雜誌最後五年的總編輯。1968年，因陳映真被捕入獄，寫下《紅鼻子》。
1982年自銀行退休後，創辦了臺灣“國立藝術學院”戲劇系，為著名美學及藝術理論家、戲劇家，一生寫了14部戲劇，如《紅鼻子》、《一口箱子》、《重新開始》等。1997年4月因心臟病辭世。
