".在线"是域名系统（DNS）中的新通用顶级域名（gTLD）。它是许多通用顶级域名其中之一。域通联达的域名“.在线”和另一顶级域名“.中文网”于2014年4月28日通过互联网名称与数字地址分配机构（ICANN）的审批并正式上线并开放注册。
“在线”是中文最常使用的搜索关键字之一，其价值已得到数百家中外网站认可，包括美国在线，F1赛车门户网站，以及中国各大省市新闻门户。许多票务、酒店预订、网络游戏、电子产品的网站也都开始使用“.在线”域名。[1]
2014年，全球已有53家注册商提供“.在线”的域名。[2]
“.在线”域名获得了国际域名界的广泛关注，.eu注册局EURid的《2014全球国际化域名报告》中发布了关于“.在线”和“.中文网”的案例分析。[3]

发展历程
2013年11月28日，“.在线”和“.中文网”通过了互联网名称与数字地址分配机构（ICANN）的预授权技术测试。
2013年12月3日，域通联达公司在芬兰赫尔辛基宣布“.在线”和“.中文网”的上线日程。
2014年1月17日到2014年3月17日，“.在线”和“.中文网”启动仅向商标所有人开放的优先注册期。
2014年3月20日，“.在线”和“.中文网”启动注册第二阶段抢注期。在抢注期内，中国政府购买了近2万的国际化域名（IDNs）。同时, 中华人民共和国工业和信息化部（MIIT）规定中国所有政府网站必须将全中文域名囊括如其网址中。
2014年3月21日，在澳门银河酒店红伶私人会所的优质域名拍卖会上，“.在线”和“.中文网”创下了18.4万美金的拍卖纪录。
2014年4月28日，“.在线”和“.中文网”进入正常注册期。截至7月底，“.在线”和“.中文网”域名已有超过9万美金的销售额。[5]
