Collectible common-deck card games

These card games are very similar to regular CCGs; however, they do not meet the strict definition, because all players use a shared deck, also known as a common deck, similar to Uno. There is little to no interest in collecting the cards.[1]

Non-collectible customizable card games

Sometimes referred to as Living Card Games, these games are very similar to CCGs but lack randomness to the purchase and distribution of the cards. Most are sold as complete sets and are therefore not collectible, such as by collecting cards from separately sold and randomized booster packs. Some of these games were meant to be traditional CCGs with booster packs, but the booster packs were never released.[1]
