早年生活

克里斯·汤姆林1972年出生于德克萨斯州的Grand Saline。他有两个个弟弟，莱恩(Ryan)和科里(Cory)。他11岁曾感染传染性单核白血球增多症^[1]。之后他从他父亲那里得到了他的第一把吉他。14岁时谱写了他的第一首基督教音乐。进入得克萨斯农工大学后，他本来计划修读医疗专业，不过最后他选择从事基督教音乐事业，因为他声称“他感到了上帝在感召他去做另一些事”。
